Abstract:A new processing method of ground acceleration data is proposed for the fast and accurate evaluation of the maximum seismic structural responses. The proposed method consists of a trimming method and a down‐sampling method. The proposed trimming method is based on ground acceleration power and contains compensation procedures for the trimmed ground acceleration. The proposed down‐sampling method effectively uses FIR filter, whose weight coefficients are derived from the correspondence between the responses und… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
