Abstract:During a survey of diversity of fungal pathogens in nurseries of Babylon and Karbala Provinces of Iraq in 2021. Trichocladium griseum associated with diseased ornamental plants, Gazania sp. and Carpobrotus edulis was isolated and identified relied on its morphological features, ITS rDNA sequencing and phylogenetic analysis. The T. griseum fungus has not yet been described previously in Iraq. Hence, this is the first report of Trichocladium griseum presence in Iraq.
