Secure routing in Mobile Adhoc Network (Manet) is the key issue now a day in providing secure access to different network services. As mobile devices are used in accessing different services, performing secure routing becomes a challenging task. Towards this, different approaches exist which find the trusted route based on their previous transmission details and behavior of different nodes. Also, the methods focused on trust measurement based on tiny information obtained from local nodes or with global information which are incomplete. However, the adversary nodes are more capable and participate in each transmission not just to steal the data also to generate numerous threats in degrading QoS (Quality of Service) parameters like throughput, packet delivery ratio, and latency of the network. This encourages us in designing efficient routing scheme to maximize QoS performance. To solve this issue, a two stage trust verification scheme and secure routing algorithm named GL-Trust (Global-Local-Trust) is presented. The method involves in route discovery as like popular AODV (Adaptive Ondemand Distance Vector) which upgrades the protocol to collect other information like transmission supported, successful transmissions, energy, mobility, the number of neighbors, and the number of alternate route to the same destination and so on. Further, the method would perform global trust approximation to measure the value of global trust and perform local trust approximation to measure local trust. Using both the measures, the method would select a optimal route to perform routing. The protocol is designed to perform localized route selection when there is a link failure which supports the achievement of higher QoS performance. By incorporating different features in measuring trust value towards secure routing, the proposed GL-Trust scheme improves the performance of secure routing as well as other QoS factors.

Named data networking (NDN) is gaining momentum as a future Internet architecture. NDN is a type of information-centric networking (ICN) that attempts to change the current Internet architecture from host/location-centric to content-centric, where data retrieving is done by the names of the contents irrespective of the location of the data. A mechanism to advertise the namebased prefixes between different domains is necessary to accelerate the NDN deployment. In IP-based routing, border gateway protocol (BGP) is the de facto inter-domain routing protocol that plays a vital role in Internet communication by enabling different Internet domains to exchange routing information.In its current form, BGP can advertise and process IP-based prefixes, but it cannot advertise or process NDN name-based prefixes. Accordingly, BGP needs to be extended to support NDN technology. This paper proposes an NDN extension for BGP, referred to as N-BGP, that offers a solution to exchange name-based routes in the current BGP networks. This proposed extension modifies the traditional BGP speaker into a hybrid one. This hybrid speaker is qualified to understand, advertise, receive, process, and store both IP-based and name-based routes simultaneously and efficiently, without disturbing or breaking the current Internet operation; that is, it can coexist along with traditional speakers. Data has become an increasingly significant component of the Internet as it has increased in popularity. Where people care more about the data than the location of data. The Named Data Network (NDN) took this concept and paired it with the idea of making data a core component rather than host addresses. Because of its in-network caching capability, NDN will become a better contender than current Transmission Control Protocol and Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) based networks as data traffic grows exponentially. NDNrelated challenges are available for investigation as NDN becomes more important. Routing in NDN is another essential domain that needs to be addressed, and several approaches have been presented to address routing concerns in NDN. In this study, we discuss and highlight NDN and its routing strategies comprehensively. In addition, this research illustrates a comparison of important routing paradigms to emphasis the breadth of routing research in NDN. Also, we investigate the routing attributes of NDN and expose the latest literature on this critical topic. Finally, this study provides useful insights into the emerging areas of guidance in the NDN to assist future studies in addressing challenges and open research issues.
