A new tool for the study of the CP-violating NMSSM

Abstract: Supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model open up the possibility for new types of CP-violation. We consider the case of the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model where, beyond the phases from the soft lagrangian, CP-violation could enter the Higgs sector directly at tree-level through complex parameters in the superpotential. We develop a series of Fortran subroutines, cast within the public tool NMSSMTools and allowing for a phenomenological analysis of the CP-violating NMSSM. This new tool per… Show more

“…The Fortran package NMSSMTools [60][61][62] computes the masses and decay widths in the CP-conserving Z 3 -invariant NMSSM and can be interfaced with SOFTSUSY [63,64], which provides the mass spectrum for a CP-conserving NMSSM, also including the possibility of Z 3 violation. Recently, it has been extended to include also the CP-violating NMSSM [65]. The spectrum of different SUSY models, including the NMSSM, can be generated by interfacing SPheno [66,67] with SARAH [49,[68][69][70][71].…”

“…For the specific definitions of ϕ 1 and ϕ 2 , see [9]. The figure shows that in the NMSSM non-trivial CP-violating phases are still compatible with the EDMs in contrast to the MSSM where the chargino contributions to the EDMs through a complex phase of the effective higgsino parameter generate EDMs that are above the experimental constraints (see also [11]).…”
