Abstract:In this paper, we studied an inventory model for perishable items with time dependent trapezoidal type demand. Shortages are allowed and partially backlogged with a constant rate. Holding cost is assumed to be linearly dependent with time. The rate of deterioration of the items dependent on both time and life of the products. The numerical solution of the model is obtained. Sensitivity analysis is performed to show the effect of changes in the parameter on the optimum solution.
