A Note on the Phase Congruence Method in Image Analysis

Abstract: Phase congruence technique developed by Kovesi allows the detection of edges in images by analyzing the phases of their frequency components. A limitation of this technique is that it does not allow the detection of closely spaced edges that have different intensities.
