“…Another reason for the classification 'UN' in IRAC MoA, might be a recent study that revealed that bifenazate has some allosteric modulation effects on T. urticae GABA receptors, albeit in the μM range. Whether these effects correlate with the acaricidal properties has not been documented [74], but resistant lines do not show quantitative expression differences, nor an altered sequence of all GABA receptors [51,75], strongly suggesting this interaction is not responsible for the observed toxicity. In summary, current evidence for a mitochondrial mode of action is quite overwhelming and its use in alternation with compounds such as acequinocyl should be avoided because of the crossresistance issues.…”
