“…A further study revealed that adsorbed U(VI) and Th(IV) ions on the EIR column can be sequentially eluted with 5 mL of 0.5% (w/v) Na 2 CO 3 and 5 mL of 2.0 M HCl. In addition, it is very suitable for rapid preconcentration of uranium and thorium from large volumes of aqueous solutions up to 3 L. Also, in comparison with other SPE methods [16,26,27,29,[41][42][43][44]51,52], the present method has high preconcentration factors, good RSD and very low detection limits.
