This paper presents the design of smart billing systems which can be placed to reduce the huge crowd in the malls in towns and cities. Especially it becomes more crowded on holidays. Customers pick different items in the malls and put them into trolley. At the cash counter billing process is done using bar code scanner and it is very time consuming process. To avoid this we are developing a system which we called as “Smart Billing System Using RFID and ZIGBEE”. In this system we are using RFID tags instead of barcodes. This RFID tag will be on the products. Whenever the customer puts a product into the trolley it will get scanned by RFID reader and product name and cost will be displayed on visual display. Like this the process goes on. We are using ZIGBEE transceiver which will be on the trolley which is used to transfer data to main computer. At the main computer ZIGBEE transceiver will be placed which will receive data from transmitter. To store the products price and total billing controller memory is used. Product name and the total cost will be displayed on LCD.

As there is a lot of advancement in the field of technology there are many eye-catching inventions in the domains of machine learning, artificial intelligence, internet of things and so on, due to these advancements, with the customer point of view people start expecting a lot. Nowadays people go to shopping on a daily basis. Customers have very little time to spare for standing in queues for billing purpose. In this paper, we are presenting a smart shopping cart with mobile cart application which is a prominent solution for the above-mentioned problem. this smart shopping cart comes with raspberry Pi controller, RFID Reader, RFID Tags, L298N Motor Drivers, Pi Camera, Load Cell and a Mobile Cart application. The customer needs scan the product using RFID reader which is attached to the cart, the load cell will get the weight of the items in cart and all the price details will be reflected in the online application. After all the items are scanned the final bill will be displayed on the application and the bill payment can be done using the same application

In modern days, people are getting too busy in their works but still they need to spend time in shopping malls. In Shopping malls, customers face a difficulty to follow a queue for the process of billing, which takes a long time under huge crowd. Customer thought that, to avoid the standing time in the billing section at shopping malls. To overcome the above problems, we emerged the Bascart system. To increase the pace of a billing process, RFID tags in products, then the product is read by the barcode scanner which describes the cost of that product and is displays on the LCD screen attached in our shopping list. As customer buy their exact product its price is add on the previous list. The cost of the product is displayed on the LCD screen by using microcontroller through Zigbee Communication from host PC. Zigbee supports bidirectional communication between microcontroller and host PC. We have proposed the Weighing Sensor for the purpose of checking the weight of the items and it is directly stored in the server database. Customer get direct bill at the billing section which is already stored at host PC which automatically reduces the queue. Then GSM Module in our system is used to detect the Geo-position of the customer’s mobile for the process of intimating the shopping details of the customer through messages which is already updated in database.
