Residual oil is defined as underground crude oil that cannot be produced even after a reservoir is produced by a certain oil production method. The reserve of remaining oil is determined by many parties, and oilfield development time, geological characteristics, crude oil characteristics, oil displacement agent types, production technology and deployment principles all have certain influences. Facing the sustainable development, this paper analyzes the optimized design method of high-angle directional well trajectory, the development characteristics, residual potential and development effect of actually drilled sand bodies, clarifies the characteristics of high-angle directional excavation, further explores the potential of high-angle directional excavation of fault edges, and realizes the high-efficiency tapping of fault edges. Through practice, the residual oil in the corner of fault is excavated directionally with high inclination, and the effect is remarkable. By adopting the techniques of maintaining upper wellbore straightness and speed, strengthening directional deviation and stabilizing deviation drilling, optimizing mud performance and hydraulic parameters, and cooperating with the drilling process of appropriately breaking the rock debris bed, the problems of large deviation, long control section, and strict target area requirements in the highly inclined directional well of Pu181-155 well have been effectively solved. At the same time, downhole accidents have been reduced, mechanical drilling speed has been improved, and drilling cycle has been shortened.
