Process simulation, optimization,
and flexibility analysis have
received considerable attention in the field of Process Systems Engineering
(PSE). In this work, a unified solution strategy is proposed to describe
the solution space of problems through symbolic computation. On the
basis of the projection and lifting modules in the algorithm layer,
three tailored modules for process simulation, optimization, and flexibility
analysis problems are developed in the application layer of SyPSE
with designed algorithm and visualization tools. Parametric simulation
and optimization are also presented. For each submodule, a case study
is presented to illustrate the procedure of the solution, which can
be invoked conveniently by users and visualized with interface tools.
