Abstract:Calcineurin (CN), the only Ca2+-calmodulin activated protein phosphatase, dephosphorylates substrates within membrane-associated Ca2+ microdomains. CN binds to substrates and regulators via short linear motifs (SLIMs), PxIxIT and LxVP.
