Abstract: This paper introduces a novel metaheuristic algorithm named the opposition-based cooperation search algorithm with Nelder–Mead (OCSANM). This enhanced algorithm builds upon the cooperation search algorithm (CSA) by incorporating opposition-based learning (OBL) and the Nelder–Mead simplex search method.
