A Novel Robust Sensorless Technique for Field-Oriented Control Drive of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

Abstract: This paper proposes a novel rotor position estimation technique based on stator flux linkage to implement robust sensorless field-oriented control for permanent magnet synchronous motor drives. The proposed method can accurately estimate rotor position by mitigating the dependence on quality of the magnitude and phase angle of the estimated stator flux linkage.
