A novel synthesis of 4-toluene 9H-carbazole-9-carbodithioate, electropolymerization and impedance study

Abstract: Among conducting polymers, polycarbazoles are known for their good electro-activity [1,2] and thermal [3][4][5], electrical [6], photo-physical [7], and electrochromic properties [8]. They have been suggested for a number of applications, such as electroluminescent devices [9], sensors [10,11], redox catalysts [12], and electrochromic displays [13]. The functional groups, such as amino, imino and sulfonic groups have been performed for achieving new polymers which meet the criteria of commercial applications [… Show more

“…All measurements began at the open circuit potential where modified polymer films were allowed to equilibrate for approximately 10 min at each potential before being measured. 35 The equivalent electrical circuit models of R s (Q c R c ) and R s (Q c R c )(Q p R ct ) were set up by Tina program.…”

“…18 According to the EIS plots, the impedance measurements, resistance was the real part and low-frequency capacitance (C LF ) was calculated as C LF ¼ -1/(2fZ 00 ), where f ¼ 0.01 Hz, and Z 00 was the imaginary part of the impedance. [19][20] The C LF value was obtained as 7.87, 6.92, and 7.32 mF for the initial mass ratio of 1:1, 2:1, and 4:1, respectively. In the Bode phase plot of polymer electrodeposited on carbon fiber, the maximum phase angle was calculated as 77, 77.7, and 78.2 at the frequency of 0.38, 0.32, and 0.56 Hz for the initial mass ratio of 1:1, 2:1, and 4:1, as given in Figure 6.…”
