Abstract:Background and Objectives 4-Methylumbelliferone (4-MU) is a coumarin compound that can be extracted from the medicinal plant with anti-cancer properties, Smilax china L. In recent years, studies have revealed its potential as an anti-tumor and anti-metastasis drug with promising effects in cancer treatment.
