A novel tunable K-band frequency doubler in 0.18-μm CMOS technology

Abstract: In this paper, a K-band frequency doubler with a tunable input matching network and LC reflector is first proposed and implemented using 0.18-m CMOS process. The conversion gain bandwidth is extended by the tunable input matching network and the tunable LC reflector can improve the fundamental rejection. This frequency doubler exhibits a conversion gain of -6~-8.3 dB from 18 to 26 GHz with 0 dBm input power and fundamental rejection of 32.5 to 44 dB.
