Abstract: Infection of pregnant women by Zika virus (ZIKV) is associated with severe neurodevelopmental defects in newborns through poorly defined mechanisms. Here, we engineered a zebrafish in vivo model of ZIKV infection to circumvent limitations of existing mammalian models.
