Abstract:In the second paper of this three part series, we focus on the simulation of transonic test cases for turbomachinery applications using a high-order discontinuous Galerkin spectral element method (DGSEM). High-fidelity simulations of transonic compressors and turbines are particularly challenging, as they typically occur at high Reynolds number and require additional treatment to reliably capture the shock waves characterizing such flows. A recently developed finite-volume subcell shock capturing scheme tailor… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
