A particle suspension model for nanosuspensions electrospinning

Abstract: Polymeric composite nanofibers have been fabricated simply by the electrospinning of polymeric solutions containing a wide variety of suspended inclusions such as nanoparticles and nanotubes. The electrospinning process for fabrication of composite nanofibers is a multi-phase and multi-physics process. In this paper, a modified particle suspension model for electrospinning nanosuspensions is established to research the electrospinning process. The model can offer in-depth insight into physical understanding of… Show more

“…Fan et al [33] presented a fluid-mechanic model considering solvent volatilization to research nanopores structure formation in the ES process. Xu [34] established a modified particle suspension model to research the ES process. However, these studies were all about the establishment of mechanic models, which cannot offer in-depth insight into physical understanding of the ES process and also could not numerically simulate the jet flow in the ES process.…”

“…A modified bubble-electrospinning by placing a positively charged ring between the bubble and the parallel electrode collector was also presented to fabricate highly aligned nanofibers in quantities [20]. In addition, it is very significant for understanding the movement of the jet and the formation mechanism of nanofibers in the ES process, resulting in the appearance of many related researches [21][22][23].…”
