A Pharmacists's Evaluation of Drug-Prescribing Pattern

Abstract

SUMMARY A study was made of Dutch physicians' prescribing habits of analgesic and inflammatory drugs in 1975 and 1978 in order to assess the effect of introducing a formulary. In 1978 more anti‐inflammatory drugs were prescribed than in 1975. Observed differences in preference of physicians for certain agents were only partly altered by the formulary.
