Abstract:Hydrogen-assisted cracking (HAC) usually causes premature mechanical failure of the material and results in structural damage in hydrogen environments. A phase-field regularized cohesion model (PF-CZM) was proposed to address hydrogen-assisted cracking. It incorporated the hydrogen-enhanced decohesion mechanism to decrease the critical energy release rate to address damage initiation and progression in a chemo-mechanical coupled environment. This model is based on coupled mechanical and hydrogen diffusion resp… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
