Abstract:Background: Alcoholic liver cirrhosis is an end stage alcoholic liver disease with poor prognosis. The definitive treatment of alcoholic liver cirrhosis is orthotopic liver transplantation, which is expensive, requires long term immunosuppression and is limited by supply of organs.
