Abstract:This article reports a detailed mechanistic and kinetic study of an unusual photoreaction leading to the (diazonia)tetrabenzonaphthacene skeleton. The photo‐triggered double intramolecular nucleophilic aromatic substitution (SNAr∗) has been investigated by varying the leaving groups.
