A placebo controlled study of albendazole in the treatment of pulmonary echinococcosis

Abstract: Infection with Echinococcus granulosus is endemic in Middle Eastern countries. Some patients are noted to undergo spontaneous resolution, but many require surgical removal with its associated risks.
