A Political and Social Approach to the Marvel Comic Universe: From Global Entertainment to Political Indoctrination

Abstract

The study focuses on an analysis from a political perspective of the films that make up Marvel's Infinity Saga. This research has the specific objectives of studying the representation of the United States in movies, identifying and analyzing the dominant political ideology in Iron Man and Captain America, and analyzing the political messages that are transmitted to the population through movies. This study will analyze the political enclaves that are hidden in relation to patriotism and privatization of security, as well as how they position themselves on various issues embodied in the hegemonic parties that make up the classic Republican vs. Democrat bipartisanship. For this, a qualitative methodology based on an analysis of visual content will be carried out.
