A Polymer Strategy toward High‐Performance Multifunctional Perovskite Optoelectronics: From Polymer Matrix to Device Applications

Abstract: Perovskites with superior photophysical properties and simple solution processing are widely applied in solar cells, light-emitting diodes, photodetectors, and lasers. However, the target of high-performance multifunctional perovskite optoelectronics is hampered by their intrinsic properties, such as the undesired crystallization rate, ease of ion migration, poor stability, and high brittleness. A perovskite-polymer matrix, including a perovskitepolymer composite and a polymer-perovskite-polymer heterostructur… Show more

“…Embedding perovskite nanocrystals in polymer matrix has been proven as an effective strategy for improving photoluminescence (PL) efficiency and stability. [20][21][22][23][24] Figure 1A demonstrates the preparation process of perovskite-embedded polymer films on flexible and transparent substrates. Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) are the widely used transparent substrates for flexible optoelectronic devices.…”

“…However, the electric field acting on the PeNC in the colloidal ink has been proven to be able to destroy the crystalline structure of PeNCs and lead to the luminous quenching of the PeNC CCL. This electric-field-induced degradation is much severer for red CsPbBr x I (3– x ) PeNCs. The surface passivation strategies, which utilize the formation of strong bonds between the uncoordinated ions in the perovskite (Pb 2+ ) and the groups in the additive (such as S, O, P), were adopted to improve the crystallinity and stability of the PeNCs. In the EHD printing, one should seek a balance between precisely electric driving on PeNCs and preserving the crystal structure of the PeNC lattice.…”

“…[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9] Especially in the field of photodetection, selfpowered perovskite photodetectors (PDs) play an important role in healthcare, bioimaging and other fields. 10,11 Among them, lead halide perovskite materials show high photocurrent and good stability, and have been widely studied in the field of photodetection. 12,13 Despite the high photocurrent of lead halide PDs, 14 it is unfortunate that perovskite polycrystalline films prepared by spin-coating have high density of defect states, leading to severe device noise, which seriously affects the device's detection sensitivity.…”
