A Practical Certified E-Mail System with Temporal Authentication Based on Transparent TSS

Abstract

In this paper, we present a certified E-Mail system providing non-repudiation, fairness, confidentiality and temporal authentication service based on transparent TSS (Time Stamping Server). Scheme in this paper follows the generic messaging model as defined in the X.400 Message Handling System [6] and the Internet mail system [4,5] Compared with other schemes for certified e-mail, this scheme is more practical.
