A Process Calculus for Context-Aware Systems

Abstract: In this paper, we propose a process calculus, Context-aware System Calculus (CSC), in order to describe context-aware systems that can maintain context models and carry out some operations, including requesting context-aware services, according to the context rules. Besides, a contextaware system can also communicate with other systems or receive context information from context providers by sharing atoms through channels. We present the motivation and syntax of CSC, and demonstrate a case study to encode a co… Show more

“…Acquisition methods of contextual information mainly include explicit acquisition, implicit acquisition, and inference acquisition [2]. Commonly seen solutions to context modeling include key-value pair model [3], process calculus model [4][5][6], graph model [7][8][9], object-oriented model [10,11], logical model [12,13], vector model and ontology model [14][15][16]. The context awareness processing process is mainly composed of two parts: contextual utilization and contextual organization.…”

“…As part of this model, context-aware calculus [2] has been evolved to make efficient use of contextual information to evolve the rough low-level context received by the sensor into more valuable information and find useful information in context, Pascal Zimmer [3] proposed a process calculus to describe dynamic systems that can move and react differently depending on their location. Wang Wusheng [4] proposed a process calculus context-aware system calculus to describe context-aware system and carry out some operations. Christos B.…”

“…1,there are SEM photos of phenolic foam at home and abroad, in which a is from the British Kingspan company's production,b is from the Japanese Asahi company's production and c is from domestic production. [1][2][3][4][5] The gap between domestic and foreign phenolic foamnot only makes the domestic phenolic foam in high cost, but also restricts its application. Therefore, studying phenolic foam board of low thermalconductivity, improving the quality of domestic phenolic foam board and enhancing its market competitiveness are of great significance.…”
