Abstract: Single phase Sr5 (PO4 )3Br:RE3+ (RE3+= Dy3+, Eu3+ or Tb3+) phosphors were prepared by solid state reaction method and optical properties were investigated for the possible applications in white light emitting diodes (LED) and display devices. Prepared phosphors are characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, photoluminescence (PL) and FT-IR spectroscopy.
