“…It is our contention that the geographic choice of location has tremendous bearing on the treatment that the adolescent will get, as well as how the treatment will progress and proceed. In our network of psychiatric therapeutic facilities for adolescents (Schneider, 1978(Schneider, , 1980, which is geographically located in Jerusalem, Israel, we have found it highly advantageous to treat emotionally disturbed adolescents in Israel even though their geographic locus is outside of Israel. We will try to show in this paper the theoretical basis for our treatment philosophy which allows us to treat non-Israeli adolescents in a residential treatment facility in Israel.…”
