A Psychometric Study of a Measure of Teachers' Directiveness, Student Perception of Teacher Style

Abstract: A 17-item students' rating scale, the Student Perception of Teacher Style, was developed by Tuckman as a measure of teachers' directiveness. Tuckman argues that this instrument provides a practical, valid and reliable alternative to ratings of teachers' behavior by trained observers.
