Consumers nowadays have access to a variety of information. On the one hand, the digital environment offers a wealth of information opportunities, but on the other hand, information overload makes decision-making more difficult. When deciding on making a purchase, consumers usually go through several stages of the purchasing process, from identifying a need, searching for information and evaluating their options, to completing the purchase and expressing their satisfaction or dissatisfaction with the purchase. Consumers can skip these stages or reverse their order. According to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia, the proportion of consumers who buy online, has increased over the last two years. As publicly available data do not provide a detailed insight into the purchasing habits of digital consumers, we have conducted a survey among Slovenian consumers in the summer of 2022. In this paper, we present the findings of our survey.
