“…According to Hirschfeld (1927, [7]) and Patel and Wuehrmann [8], the nutrient canals are typically found in the areas of mandibular incisors radiographically because the alveolar bone is thin and the canals are not readily obscured by the trabeculation and overlapping anatomical structures as occurs in the posterior areas of the jaws [7,8]. According to Wang et al (2001, [9]), periapical dental radiographs, despite being two dimensional and limited in size, appear to be the best projection to identify nutrient canals in the anterior mandible.…”
