“…However, the pregnancy rate was higher in the 5-mg letrozole group than in the 2.5-mg letrozole group. This was related to a higher number of follicles in the 5-mg letrozole group [16]. In the present study, we found no difference in the number of ovarian follicles with diameter >14 mm, endometrial thickness and serum E 2 between the L2.5 and L5.0 groups.…”

“…The combination of 2.5 mg/day of letrozole with rFSH also reduces the dose of rFSH required for superovulation, thus lowering the cost of assisted fertility programs, particularly in women who have had a poor response to FSH alone [15]. One study demonstrated that a dose of 5.0 mg/day of letrozole resulted in a greater number of follicles and an improved pregnancy rate per cycle compared to a letrozole dose of 2.5 mg/day [16]. However, it is not accurate whether this effect would also be observed when different doses of letrozole are cotreated with rFSH [17].…”

“…In another study in patients who became pregnant through IUI, showed that the pregnancy rate among those who had a large dominant follicle were three times higher than who have small dominant follicle [18], and in another study the pregnancy rate in the group that was more and larger number of follicles was higher than another group [19], which is coordinating these studies with our study.…”

“…Indeed, as we previously reported [21], peripheral leukocytes represent a reliable model for studying the pathophysiology of oxidative stress-mediated homeostasis variations, which can be responsible for cell dysfunction and cell injury. Leukocytes reflect the condition of the whole organism and represent a valuable model to study systemic oxidative stress-related disorders [22]. Indeed, one of the main result of our study is the significant correlation among leukocyte ROS production both with plasma RI, FF RI and granulosa cell ROS.…”
