A rare case of a penetrating cranio-facial foreign body stuck in the skull base

Abstract: Highlights Penetrating craniofacial wounds caused by foreign bodies are a rare case of emergency facial surgery and require complex medical management. Their management must be rapid and multidisciplinary. The extraction of the foreign body should be under direct visual control in order to avoid or reduce the damage done to cerebral tissue.
