A rare case of primary cutaneous follicle centre lymphoma presenting as a giant tumour of the scalp and combined with JAK2V617F positive essential thrombocythaemia

Abstract: Primary cutaneous follicle centre lymphoma (PCFCL) is a rare cutaneous B cell lymphoma in middle-age adults with excellent prognosis. Here we present a case of a patient with a PCFCL in the form of a giant tumour of the scalp in combination with a myeloproliferative neoplasm, JAK2V617F positive essential thrombocythaemia. “…1 Invasion of cranial vault and dura mater is extremely rare manifestation in primary cutaneous B-cell lymphomas of scalp, with only a case of giant primary cutaneous follicle centre B-cell lymphoma infiltrating cranial vault recently described. 3,4 As concerning PCDLBCL, to the best of our knowledge, our case is the first one with cranial and dural invasion. It should be differentiated and not confused with primary diffuse large B-cell lymphoma of the cranial vault, 5 which has a wider intracranial invasion and lower cutaneous extension.…”
