A rare cause of acute abdomen after a sport-related blunt abdominal trauma – Torsion of a normal ovary in a pre-pubertal girl

Abstract: Adnexal torsion is an uncommon gynecological emergency which mostly occurs during productive ages and in adnexa with mass-increasing pathology or anatomical abnormality. We reported the first known case of torsion of a normal adnexa after a sport-related blunt abdominal trauma in a pre-pubertal girl.
