A Rare Cause of Acute Urinary Retention in a Young Female: Leiomyoma Bladder

Abstract: Leiomyoma represents the largest subgroup of benign mesenchymal tumors that may arise anywhere within the genitourinary tract. Usual presenting symptoms include voiding symptoms such as obstruction and irritation. It can be diagnosed by careful physical examination assisted with ultrasound and endoscopic evaluation, but the confirmatory diagnosis is always histological.
