A rare cause of basal ganglia calcification: Down syndrome

Abstract: Down syndrome, the most common chromosomal abnormality, may be associated with various neurologic complications such as mental retardation, epilepsy, and basal ganglia calcification. Basal ganglia calcification is a rare complication which can be determined in children with Down syndrome.
