A rare combination of holocrine poroma with follicular germinative differentiation

| e193LETTER TO THE EDITOR 'HP' may be confusing because the constituents of HP are not the poroid cells of the sweat duct, we think it is meaningful to organize the different concepts and names. The histological criteria that discriminate HP are as follows: presence of squamous cells in addition to the basaloid cells, presence of ducts with steatocystoma-like cuticles, presence of cellular vacuolization with entrapped sebocytes, prominent association with follicular structures, and relative lack of stromal hyalinization. 4 Half of the lesion in the present case met all of the above criteria. To the best of our knowledge, there is only one previous report with this double differentiation. 5 The previous case 'trichoblastoma within an apocrine poroma' can be diagnosed as 'trichoblastoma within a HP' at this time. In our case, the FGC component was more immature than in the previous case. We herein presented a unique case of holocrine poroma with follicular germinative differentiation.
