Abstract: Rationale: Venous thromboembolism is one of the common complications of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which is a significant health problem worldwide. Factors such as inflammation, medications, and abdominal surgery, contribute to the increased risk of venous thromboembolism in patients with IBD.
