Abstract. In software as a service (SaaS) model, application market provides various software services for users to access. However, large amount of software services are difficult to choice because of few attributes and incomplete description to illustrate their functionality. Besides, the fetch results from application market may not match user preference and waste user much time to get the desired software service. In this work, we propose an approach to improve software service searching effectiveness in an application market. Several advanced techniques are enforced. Information retrieval technology analyzes the description of a software service to get its key concepts. The association rule mining technology discovers the hidden association between various software service key concepts. The relationships of software service key concepts and discovered association rules are built a semantic network to connect relevant key concepts of software services. After configuring the software service attributes for quality of service consideration, the multi-criteria decision analysis is used to get the ranking order of the candidate software services. The software services key concepts, discovered association rules, semantic network, and multi-criteria decision analysis approach are built a recommendation system. User gets the reasonable software service based the ranking order of candidates from the recommendation system. We hope the proposed approach facilitates user to get the software service effectively in a popular application market.

Dynamic virtual enterprise (DVE) takes outsourcing as the main business mode and it allocates customer orders to appropriate suppliers by bidding or negotiation. The real-time query of the implementation status of orders is named order tracking. Provide order tracking service in DVE helps customers to participate in the manufacturing process of their orders so to improve their loyalty to DVE. The service is also benefit for the core enterprise of DVE to reallocate order in suppliers to ensure the timely completion of orders and help suppliers to query the progress of tasks in its upstream enterprises. To achieve the order tracking of cross-enterprises and provide web-based order tracking service in DVE, a SaaS and web service-based order tracking platform was put forward. To realise the platform, the SaaS-based manufacturing data management system was constructed, and the packaging method of application system into web service was researched. Then the process of order tracking in the platform was designed and the order tracking service based on web was realised. Finally, the feasibility of the platform was verified by the development of a prototype system.

The information technology industry designs various e-services based on the fast delivery, powerful computing and large storage capacity of cloud computing systems. Specifically, the service provider develops e-service markets within a cloud computing environment with which to provide the e-services. The use of information technology, insofar as helping people obtain reasonable e-service, provides challenges to innovative service providers. In this work, we propose an adaptive e-service for linking users and the cloud services. Our work is based on user profile, specifically, on a role-based access control model with which to identify the user and assign a specific role. A user with a specific role is then authorized to access the various e-services in the cloud computing environment. Then, the utility function and multi-criteria decision analysis model are deployed to optimize the e-service selection with regard to various cloud services. Our aim is that the proposed adaptive e-service will be able to assist people in obtaining e-services in cloud environments.
