According to Morin, educating in the 21st century scenario designed by cybercultural complexity and its emergencies, requires an understanding of the need and practice of a flexible, multidimensional, polylogical, transnational, transdisciplinar and complex way of thinking, capable of reconnecting the particularities of a emerging reality as a whole. Faced with such alert and from the complexity paradigm, we will go through the BNCC regarding the considerations that motivated the elaboration of the fifth competence, seeking to diagnose whether we are facing a programmatic or a paradigmatic reform capable of offering the conditions for the complex thinking development. Our reflection is based on specialized bibliography and speech analysis.
