Abstract:We couple a halo effective field theory (Halo-EFT) structure model at next-to-leading-order (NLO) with an eikonal reaction model, including Coulomb and nuclear interactions (and their interference) at all orders as well as relativistic corrections, in order to describe the breakup of 11 Be measured at 520A MeV at GSI. We also extract the dB(E1)/dE for this nucleus to understand the apparent discrepancy between the E1 strength extracted from the GSI experiment and that obtained from a RIKEN measurement performe… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
