A Reliability Allocation Method of CNC Lathes Based on Copula Failure Correlation Model

Abstract: The current research of reliability allocation of CNC lathes always treat CNC lathes as independent series systems. However, CNC lathes are complex systems in the actual situation. Failure correlation is rarely considered when reliability allocation is conducted. In this paper, drawbacks of reliability model based on failure independence assumption are illustrated, after which, reliability model of CNC lathes considering failure correlation of subsystems is established based on Copula theory, which is an impro… Show more

“…Using the data in this paper, the reliability allocation of the meta-actions of NC rotary table is carried out by using the traditional allocation method, 40 the optimization allocation method only considering cost and benefit, 2 the RPN-based allocation method, 41 the reliability optimization allocation method considering differentiation of functions, 42 and the x reliability allocation method based on copula failure correlation model, 43 respectively. The results are shown in Table 21 .…”

“…At present, the tool remaining useful life prediction is mainly based on failure information, performance degradation information, or wear amount. Wiener process, Gamma process, or competitive failure model are applied and combined with the failure threshold [2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10]. However, collecting a large amount of life data for mechanical products, such as machine tools, in a short period of time is difficult compared with electronic products.…”
