A Retrospective Clinical Study of Patients Presenting With Epistaxis in a Tertiary Care Hospital

Abstract

BACKGROUND Epistaxis is one of the most common emergencies seen in Otorhinolaryngology. It is usually managed with simple conservative measures, but occasionally it can be a life-threatening condition. Immediate action and thorough evaluation is required to effectively manage a case of epistaxis. The objectives of this study are-1. To analyse the various aetiological factors for epistaxis. 2. To study the examination findings and investigations in relation to epistaxis. 3. To study the methods of management of epistaxis and their outcome in a tertiary care hospital.
