A Review of Auto-Injector Pen Safety and Preventative Strategies

Abstract: Reports of auto-injector pen injuries have increased over the past decade. However, the true incidence of these injuries is unknown. We present the case of an accidental digital self-injection by a dermatologist whilst he was trying to administer the medication to a patient presenting with anaphylaxis as an example of a typical auto-injector injury.
