This study aims to solve the multiscale problems faced by the current classroom student behavior target detection based on the convolutional neural network (CNN) in the wireless network environment. Firstly, the recent reform of Japanese language education is introduced. Secondly, the multiscale problem research of classroom student behavior target detection is discussed. A CNN-based new extraction network is designed based on dilated convolution and pyramid features. An anchor reconstruction algorithm based on improved K-means clustering is presented for the self-made student behavior dataset. Finally, the performance of the designed algorithm is tested. The anchor reconstruction algorithm’s mean average precision is 83.2%, and the average intersection over union is 73.7%. The experimental results of this scheme outperform the original single-shot multibox detector and K-means algorithms. Compared with other algorithms, the designed multiscale detection algorithm of classroom student behavior has the best detection effect on Pascal visual object classes (VOC) dataset. The detection accuracy of the entire dataset is 79.8%. Overall, the multiscale detection algorithm for classroom student behavior has a better detection effect on the Pascal VOC dataset and has good generalization ability and robustness. This research can guide students to recognize their class status and make corresponding adjustments to improve their learning efficiency, which has essential research significance and application value.

Balancing the skills through digital transformation will help increase the graduates’ employability. This study explored the digital transformation in the Sultanate of Oman by looking at the different aspects, such as how this transformation has affected the way the educators conducted their lessons and, at the same time, how students learned from the shared learning materials. Based on the gathered literature, digital transformation is essential to education for various reasons, such as enabling collaboration and personalized learning. From the global and Omani perspectives on teaching and learning methodologies, it shows similarities in conducting online and hybrid classes, submitting students’ output, and assessing the students’ academic success. The recommendation focuses on continuing current strategies and provides additional support for students facing challenges; It is also recommended to create a venue or platform which will assess the educator’s technology skills to ensure their readiness for the challenges of the digital transformation. The government and private education institutions should continually enhance the technology infrastructure requirement of this ongoing digital transformation to ensure that Oman will offer the best in the world and to continually offer sustainable knowledge for society through improved technology infrastructure

The study looked into how COVID-19 affected the digital competence of a group of preservice teacher education students at a higher education institution in the Sultanate of Oman. The paper examined students' digital profile in five areas namely information and data literacy, communication and collaboration, digital content creation, safety and problem solving. Data from 32 undergraduate students was collected by utilizing DigComp, a European Commission digital skills selfassessment tool and findings from a survey. The digital competence framework measures the set of skills, knowledge and attitudes that describes what it means to be digitally competent. These skills are important for students to be effective global citizens in the 21 st century. The results of the study revealed that the majority of the students scored Level 3 (Intermediate) in their self-assessment competency test score. The majority of the students perceived that their digital competence improved significantly as the result of online learning which was accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The rationale of this investigation is that it helps educators understand the students' level of digital competence and the students' perspectives on ICT skills. In turn, it informs us the ways to monitor the students' digital progress and the next steps in developing their digital competency.
