Abstract:This study explores the potential role of hydrogen in decarbonizing the transport sector in Uzbekistan by examining different aspects of the country’s energy system and transport final use. In road transport, Uzbekistan has already gained experience with the use of alternative fuels through the “Compressed Natural Gas—Mobility” initiatives and has achieved a fleet coverage of 59%.
